Originally built on the banks of the San Antonio River, the Toltec Apartments and the Maverick/Carter House are nationally recognized examples of enduring period design and imagination. Both have been fully restored to preserve, inspire and promote community development.

Blending historic and high tech elements on a central downtown campus, the Emergent/urban collective offers living, working and shared spaces for art exhibitions, locally sourced meals (Pharmtable), meetings and concerts.

Living space:

The Toltec Apartments, built in 1913, offers 2 bedroom, one bedroom and studio apartments. Several units are reserved for short term rental and provide space for the Radius Artist in Residence program. Musicians, artists and guest lecturers can contact the Radius office through their website at RadiusCenter.org to inquire about availability.

Short Term Executive Suites:

Units may also be available for short term stays for corporate, military or transitional housing needs. The rates depend on the time of year, length of stay and availability.

The adjacent MaverickCarter House, built in 1893, offers several rooms for short term stays.  In keeping with the traditions of Aline Carter, writers and scientists can host events and reserve rooms based upon availability. 

Both private offices and public exhibition space is available in the neighboring Radius Building. For groups of over 100, the building office can be contacted for catering options and seating layouts for screenings and lectures. (227-8111).

The Radius collaborative provides a flexible environment that focuses on NPOs and community support. Conference rooms, offices, reception and exhibition spaces are available for large and small events. Parking is available in the adjacent lot as well as in the neighboring parking facilities.

Located across the street from the San Antonio River and the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, the facilities include cafes, offices and meeting spaces for public and private events. Nonprofit organizations receive discounted rates and free public events are coordinated through the resident nonprofits.

 

The Town Lake location is across from downtown above the Boardwalk which provides easy access to the city center. The restored 1936 house has 4b/ 3b and large yards for pets as well. The microhouse has a loft and sleeps 3.

Adjoining ranch and pasture lands in South San Antonio provide several hundred acres for agricultural and wildlife development.  The central ranch house has 7 bedrooms and 5 baths available for long or short term stays. The first of the concrete monolithic dome houses is designed to sleep 2 and has areas to park trailers with access to utilities.
